Voice Recovery.

After 25 years of teaching and studying voice, years of battling sinus infections and laryngitis, voice therapy, many vocal cord scopes, many medications, a sinus surgery, an auto-immune disease diagnosis, and countless disappointments, I can now say, without a doubt,

the voice is complicated!

Those of us who rely on our voice for our profession, know how stressful or even devastating it can be when vocal fatigue or illness threatens our livelihood. Many of us struggle with health concerns, fatigue, or a constant barrage of contradictory feedback that leaves us feeling confused, at a loss, or emotionally exhausted. It’s even more frustrating when medical professionals are unable to point us to the cure (or at least a complete recovery).

I work with clients who

  • feel they’ve exhausted their options

  • seek assistance trying new techniques and/or bringing mindfulness to their practice

  • feel vocally fatigued by the end of the working day and worry their voices won’t hold up

  • face new challenges in their careers and need guidance adapting and finding new or additional strategies

  • feel discouraged in their vocal study

In our initial meeting we will discuss your concerns, review your history, and outline possible ways forward before deciding upon the right plan for you.
